Tell the world

As I was listening to the song, "Tell the World" by Hillsong United, I was thinking about what an awesome responsibility God has given to us who believe. He has entrusted us to declare to the nations about Jesus. WOW! When you really sit and think about it, it is an amazing responsibility. I think back to the days of how God spoke to Saul (Paul) and out of that incident came one of the most influential teachers of Christ in history. Just like Paul was told to go and tell, so are we. We are to be the salt and light in this very dark and sinful world.

It is our privelege to go and tell the world that Jesus lives!! Amen.

Yep, it can seem daunting.
Check out Matthew 5:13-16. It's titled 'Salt & Light.'

Notice verse 16. What is it that draws other to 'praise God in heaven?' Interesting don't you think?

Actions speak louder than words. What if 'Tell the world' is lived out instead of shouted out? What if our attitudes and actions spoke Christ instead of our mouths. Maybe the pendulum is swung too far one way & we need a correction.

Makes you wonder about our methods of 'saving people.' Makes me think about a cute elementary school idea. Show & tell. In that order. Maybe we should show THEN tell.

Hmmmmm, interesting choice of words by the writer of Matthew. Something to chew on.
